1953 TD - Great Driver
Great driver! P.O. did thorough tub-off restoration before I purchased in April 2007. New: Gordon Lawson custom wood-rimmed steering wheel; three-point seat-belts; recurved distributor from Advance Distributors; all six wheel cylinders resleeved/rebuilt by White Post. Brake shoes and hoses are almost new (front) and brand-new (rear); new wiring harness from British Wiring comes with car.Car runs very well; ' drove it on 260-mile round-trip to Detroit on 9/13/09 with no problems. Came home with a 2nd place trophy from Battle of the Brits - Michigan's largest British car show, with 23 other TDs in class. It has a 4.3 rear end - cruises quietly at 3500 rpm - very close to 60 mph. At 3500 rpm, it holds 50# oil pressure. Only things not working are speedometer and clock. My recorded speeds (above) are from my GPS. If I were to keep this car I would have the shifter remote rebushed as it is noisy. The restoration makes for a very attractive driver, if not a concours car. There are some subtle mismatches between some of the panels but it's great for a driver. Much of the chrome is new: bumpers, over-riders, headlights, and grill-shell. Side-lamps and windscreen frame are moreover sure to delight you "patina" fans. Interior is all new, as is the hood and half-tonneau. Dashboard is attractive new walnut. So why am I selling? While my wife also loves the car, she has some spinal problems (we're both much older than "TeDdy"). My girl simply can't ride in it very much, so I can rarely share it with her - and that's what it's all about.Given that nicely-restored TDs are now running into the mid-twenties, I'm thinking that my price of $13,900 is a real bargain for this handsome, great-running but less than perfect example. I will listen to offers. Lots of pictures are at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bachldrs/sets/72157623275909994/detail/Located in Harbor Beach, MichiganAllen Bachelder

For Sale… 1962 MGA Mark II, OEW with Red Interior and Chrome Wire Wheels.
After 12 years of ownership and lots of enjoyment it is time to move on. This MGA was restored in late 1980 to early 1990 by a previous owner. We purchased it in 1998 and have put 14000 carefree miles on it, never having a breakdown on the road. It is garaged every night and stored from October to May each year. Since we have owned it, it has only seen rain a couple of times. The previous owner did install a vinyl interior so I replaced it with leather in 2000. I do not know the history prior to 1986 but all mechanics that have looked at or worked on the car agree that she has been well cared for and does not show and accident or rust repair work ever being done. A complete list of options, repairs and replacement parts along with pictures can be emailed to serious buyers. Asking price of $22500.00 or best reasonable offer based on current NADA guide for average retail $21000.00 to high retail $36000.00. Contact 62MGA@woh.rr.com
